I was very nervous that I would hate the ending to a trilogy that I've really been enjoying so far, but I really enjoyed it. It has very different vibes from the first two books, though. It becomes a lot more abstract and philosophical than a story about relatively ordinary people saving the world. A little bit more magical, too. It's hard to claim that the first two had any level of "realism," but I think the main difference in this book is that it's less realistic. I'm not fully satisfied with the ending, but it definitely could have been a lot worse.
Graphic: War
Moderate: Child death, Murder, Fire/Fire injury, Classism
Minor: Child abuse, Torture
