Sisters Under the Rising Sun
by Heather Morris
I rated her other books 5 stars and I was excited to read this one. It seems like this one was written by a completely different author. I only finished it because I wanted to find out what happened to the women.
I appreciated learning about an aspect of WWII that I did not previously know. I appreciate the author’s research and the stories of the women she tells.
However, the story was badly executed. The writing was painful to read at times. There were too many characters but no character development. The entire book was filled with dialog that seemed to be written by a 15 yr old. The writing would jump topics every few paragraphs with no connection to the previous paragraph.
