This gripping Book had me on the edge of my seat. Mary is a complicated character who is ALMOST but not quite loveable. The people around her are the real story. Her family, the state—everyone keeps failing this teenager who is on parole for a crime she allegedly committed as a 9 y/o. This is a great look at the difficulties of incarceration and parole.
