5 stars! honestly it may even change to a six star read for me as i have some time to sit with it! sometimes you just read a book and the vibes just perfectly align. this book was that for me! is it the most perfectly written book out there? no. but did it make me feel all the feels and connect with the characters and story? absolutely yes. i want to read this book again for the first time and feel all the feels. this book will go down as one of my favorite romances and will stick with me for a very long time!
characters: wowowow. this was my favorite part of the book. these characters have my whole heart. --jonathan is an actor and has such a troubled past. he is desperately trying to get it right. his character development was so so special. the groveling he did in this book was absolutely unmatched and ate it all up. he deserves to be so happy
-kennedy is so strong and she is trying to juggle and manage everything in her life. she got wrapped up in jonathan's dreams and really lost herself. her journey to happiness and living for herself was very special.
-madison was the cutest thing in the entire world. she was so spunky and had everyone wrapped around her finger. she had some of the more adorable conversations and it made the book so much sweeter. ya'll know i love kids in books and single parent romance!
plot: i will say this book is pretty character driven. there is a good plot, but it relies heavily on the characters which i absolutely love. however, i know some people may not. jonathan and madison's growing relationship as father and daughter will forever be engraved in my brain. the love between kennedy and jonathan's love was everything and reading about their journey back to each other was both gut wrenching and beautiful.
