I absolutely love this book!! I watched the movie a little bit ago and needed more, so in researching I found out that it was based on this book! I finally got a hold of it and drank it all in! Alexandra knows how to write a very compelling book, I mean I never read fantasy books with any sort of magic; but I love this one! I can’t wait to get my hands on the second!

This book follows Ruby, and in Ruby’s world almost all of the kids start dying. The ones who are left develop “symptoms” that are really super powers. The government became afraid of these kids so they ship them of to camps where Ruby spend quite a few years. Follow Ruby as she navigates life in the camp, her abilities, and so much more.
