God this was so TENSE. Knowing the ending right up front made it even worse, I had to keep taking breaks from listening because I’d feel so uncomfortable.
The voice actor is fantastic, one of the best audio books I’ve listened to, felt like listening to a play.
A great exploration of intergenerational trauma and abuse, every voice was authentic and engaging. Hard to rate high because of how stressed I felt by that’s a credit to the writing and acting.
