The Hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo

4.0

Thoroughly enjoyable book. Obviously a bit silly at times and a bit outdated, but overall a pretty good tale. And I enjoyed the discussion of Paris' architecture in the 15th century because I love Gothic architecture. The theme according to Hugo is "the book shall replace the edifice" as far as I can tell but I'm pretty sure the real theme is "men ain't shit" lol. Unless they're Quasimodo and then they're tragic instead.
