Where He Can't Find You by Darcy Coates
2.0
I had a hard time getting into this book. The beginning is very slow paced, with detailed back stories for many characters. I trudged through all 395pages , and the story picks up some a bit past the halfway mark.
There is a serial killer on the loose, some believe it is a certain man, others believe it is a monster. The police seem to be clueless and unconcerned, pretty much ignoring the many disappearances that have been going on for almost a century. So it is up to a group of teens to find a missing sibling.
Content Warnings: blood and gore, missing people, mental illness, grief.
There is no sex in the book and only a hint at a growing romance in the background.
