Invisible Monsters Remix by Chuck Palahniuk

4.5

This was a wildly unique experience, and it's hard to say much about it without giving anything away. It's strange and satirical and quite literally has you jumping all over the book to finish everything. I know it's not exactly "create your own adventure", but it reminded me a lot of the Goosebumps books I read as a kid where the reader gets to choose the ending.

Palahniuk is the king of writing weird shit that isn't for everyone, and I think this is definitely one that could be a miss for some people. I personally loved it, and I'm glad I read the Remix version as opposed to the regular since this was the way Palahniuk originally intended the story to be read. The skipping around seemed to add a lot to the overall reading experience.
