Wow! The way Strauss ties in her personal connection to the story (her great-aunt being Helene) and weave in the other Resistance folks was magnificent. There are a LOT of names and dates, so listening to the book may not have been the best in that front. I love the inclusion of the author interview and getting to hear her talk about the book and her journey with it, as well as the inclusion of the funeral song. It reads nearly like an adventure novel, but everyone in this book existed, lived, and played a part during the war, whether that be good or bad.
