Rain, a profiler for the FBI, has been sent way to work cold cases after a psychiatric leave due to him claiming he saw ghosts. His semi-exile takes him back to his hometown, where he has to work with his ex, Cold case detective Danny McKenna. They broke up years before, when Rain left him for a « job opportunity ». Rain mostly thought that him seeing ghost meant he was going crazy. But as they work on the case of a missing girl, past feelings are rekindled as if they never faded.
Loved Rain and Danny, I like their dynamics and I liked the whole second chances thing. Rain falls back for Danny very quickly, but Danny has more issues to trust him again after Rain left him before. They were just very hot together!
The mystery was fun too, I liked the balance between investigation, the paranormal and the romance.
Very enjoyable read overall!
