Park Avenue Summer by Renée Rosen
2.0
This novel just didn't work for me. I usually enjoy tales of young women moving to the big city and creating the life they want. I liked the idea of Helen Gurley Brown as a personal mentor. Unfortunately, the characters fell flat. Helen Gurley Brown was annoying, which made me sad given that the real woman is such an icon. Finally, the end felt rushed, as though the author wasn't sure how to wrap up. I was left wondering what Alice learned from her interactions with the famous editor.
