Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage

5.0

I finished this book a couple days ago and have been trying to process everything.

Swift and Saddled is the second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series. It follows Wes and Ada who from the start only had eyes for each other. Ada is an interior designer hired by Wes to handle the renovations and design of his Baby Blue project.

Let me tell you from the first chapter I was HOOKED. Wes and Ada had such good chemistry and right off the start they had this pull toward each other. I love how open they Ryders are to embracing others into their family. Also the scene where all the siblings are in the kitchen I almost cried at how sweet this moment was. Amos is such a little meddler and I LOVE it.

I really love how Lyla writes such vulnerable and relatable characters. Wes has MDD which he does not shy away from and openly talks to Ada about it at one point in the book. Honestly it was refreshing and a little emotional to see a character not wanting to overcome their mental illness but fully embracing that it is a part of them. They both struggle with insecurities and together they grow into the people they want to be.

We also love a soft vulnerable male.

You will not regret picking up this book! This book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series.

Next up we’ll have daddy Gus and Teddy’s book!! We have to wait until later this year for their story but hello single dad and grumpy sunshine, yes please! I am excited to see what else Blue Rebel Ranch has in store for us!
