One Tiny Lie by K.A. Tucker

5.0

* I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*
I had really high expectations of One Tiny Lie, because I loved the first book so much. For the most part Livie didn’t let me down, and I did enjoy reading about her finding her way and coming into her own.

I will admit to being concerned about Livie in Ten Tiny Breaths for exactly the reason that Kacey brought up at the beginning of this book. I just felt like Livie tried so hard to be perfect, and I understand why. However, I loved that she started to try to break away her perfectness even if she felt pushed into it. I loved that after everything she finally admitted to herself what and who she wanted. I really enjoyed watching her learn and grow. That I think was the best part of this novel.

Ashton really grew on me because in the beginning I just kind of thought he was a jerk. I knew he must have hidden depths because this is a K.A. Tucker book, and I didn’t think she was going to just create a horrible character just for the sake of creating one. I am really glad that we got to know him. I did think some of the things he did were really awful, but once his reasons were explained I definitely understood.

K.A. Tucker manages to make love-able but imperfect characters, and that is her greatest strength. I really love all of the characters in this book, they are each unique and wonderful in their own way. I feel like they are always genuine people who care about each other.

Overall, I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I even reread the end of the book because Ioved it so much. I highly recommend K.A. Tucker to lovers of New Adult.
