Did not finish book. Stopped at 63%.
Another case of a book club book I didn't finish in time and didn't feel worth finishing. In fact, I think only two members of the club ended up reading the whole book, so it really wasn't a hit with anyone.
First, this isn't a stand alone book. I don't know why it isn't listed as a series anywhere, but this is clearly a continuation of a story. I could have seen past that though if the story itself wasn't so boring and repetitive. It felt like it had to tell the reader everything 4 or 5 times. You'd see an event, then watch a character explain the event to someone, then they'd explain it to someone else, then that person would explain it again... It was exhausting.
