Oh man, what can I say about this book? I was feeling positive about this book it had things that I find interesting. Black Vampires and sapphic romances yes, please. Plus I am familiar with this author from their YouTube channel and was excited to support them. I wanted to like this book but unfortunately, it was disappointing.
The plot and characters felt underdeveloped. The story was boring, and the big reveal of the big bad was not surprising at all. Towards the end of the book, It felt like a race to close some plot lines but also open new ones that felt out of place and rushed through. The character's personalities were sacrificed for the sake of getting the story to point A to B and the romantic relationship between Lalya and Elise was undeveloped at the end of the book I was frustrated and disappointed.
There is so much more I can say but I am not a reviewer so I worry that I won't be able to get my opinion across the best. So all I can say is that maybe this needs more time or edits cause it felt too off but held so much promise. I do wish the best for this Author's future works.
