This one dragged a little. At the end of the last one, Light set a plan into motion. Putting that plan into action made this book a little boring. L and Light are working together in this book. They do argue, and there are even a couple of physical fights between the two. But most of the time, they are working on the same team. A lot of the fast-paced action from the last two was the amount of moves ahead of each other, both attempted to stay. Very much like an elaborate chess match.
Also the 8........ they were just stupid. As far as villains go, they really sucked.
All the other characters were still in this book and nothing much changed with them.
