Interesting and timely concept.

I would have liked to have seen more of how society functioned with the word limit. It is dropped for the main character very quickly. 

Vague spoilers:
The protagonist goes back and forth on finding the men in her life evil or weak when they are both but I guess taking a solid stance would make their barely earned redemptions harder to accept.
Really disliked the waving away of the son's actions.
