Wow. Just wow. I was moved and amazed by the writing depth of Pearl S Buck's The Good Earth series, but Pavilion Of Women blew that out of the water. I think I'd like to own a paper copy of the book so I can read through it and highlight the many passages that were so thought-provoking. The main character does a lot of reflection, and introspection on relationships between married couples, what family means, and what children mean. There are passages about death, life, souls, religion, and especially love and how it relates to happiness. This book is beautiful, thoughtful, and intellegent and I'm so glad I took the time to read it.
