I'm torn on how to rate this book? Maybe between 3.5 to 4 stars??? Somewhere? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I liked it. Don't get me wrong, there were things I didn't like (namely the way the love interest dude, Griffin, treated Cat) but there were also thing I did like!
I really liked the magic system and the world and its politics. I feel like this book really left you clinging at the end, rather unexpectedly (sad to say, the ending was a little underwhelming... Very underwhelming).
But I feel like the story might really pick up in book 2?? I hope?
Also, just a note, this is an NA book and is ACTUALLY labeled as such! Very exciting tbh.
