Princess and the Player

Damn this book as a hot mess!
I probably should have realised this after it took me to attempts to get into the story, but I do believe in giving a book a second chance so here we are.
Francesca and Tuck spend a steamy night together not knowing each other’s real identity and despite two forms of contraception being used, Francesca ends up pregnant – I know this does happen but its legit my worst nightmare.
Now I’ve read more than my fair share of books with the accidental pregnancy troupe so its not even that part of the story that bugged me. No, it was the characters themselves that made this book so irritating to read.
I swear to God Fran must have been like 6 months pregnant before Tuck found out, like dude how did you not notice?? All the signs were right there, did he think her boobs just magically got bigger and her sudden aversion to alcohol every time it was offered. I’m still so confused by this. I did not like Tuck, his background was such a cliché, I’m rolling my eyes just thinking about it. Fran was just as irritating; I don’t understand what her rationale was in terms of continuing a relationship with Tuck and not telling him about the pregnancy.
Overall this was a highly frustrating read and I only finished it because it was such a short book had it gone on longer it definitely would have been a DNF.
