“Generally, you can get away with being just about anywhere you aren't supposed to be if you carry yourself with confidence and don't stop long enough for anyone to ask you questions.”

I absolutely loved my time with the first book earlier this year, and I decided to read the sequel sooner than later while memories were still fresh. Kills Well With Others is set over a year after the first book ended, and while technically you could read this story as a stand-alone I personally wouldn't recommend it as you will be missing out on character background and a stellar book to boot. That said, the fact that I already knew the main characters when I read Kills Well With Other ment that I only loved this sequel even more than the first book! I had an absolute blast meeting up with our four mature assassins again, and this book is such a perfect blend of humor and crime/action thriller. This book once again travels all over the place, with flashbacks to the past that will ultimately explain what is happening in the present. The flashbacks can slow down the pace a little, but I liked what they added to the plot. The humor itself was simply spot on for me, and one of the reasons this series is working so well. That and the fact that I absolutely love the main characters and their dynamics of course! The plot itself was really engaging as well, with plenty of moments of danger and action. In fact, some of the scenes can get pretty graphic, so make sure you are prepared for that! Kills Well With Others ended up being an absolutely fantastic sequel and I sincerely hope this won't be the last we see of this foursome... I can already guarantee that this series will be hanging out on my list of 2025 favorites.
