Tom Lake by Ann Patchett
5.0
Ohhh, it's Interlochen isn't it Ann?!
If Pachett doesn't have a summer home in TC, then she has done the most extensive research into northern Michigan and it's history. She doesn't just touch on a fact here or there in the story, facts are woven throughout the novel. Who but a Michigan farmer would know the ins and outs of the fickleness of Gerber and it's baby food demands?
Ann proves once again that she is a National Treasure. Do yourself a favor and follow her book recommendations on IG from her bookstore in Nashville @parnassussbooks
