The Blood Card by Elly Griffiths

4.0

In this third installment of the Stephens and Mephisto Mystery, Edgar investigates the death of a Roma fortune teller in Brighton while Max is busy looking to star in a variety program on television, all in time for the Queen's coronation. Edgar takes a surprise trip to New York, Emma deals with physical and emotional concerns, Ruby is faced with the potential to make her break, and Bob turns out to be an alright sergeant after all.

Though I did not successfully guess whodunnit, I at least believe this one to be believable and well-hinted. I was no longer surprised when the murderer revealed themself, and had properly guessed the main clue. I'm proud of myself for not getting too caught up in all the misdirections.
