I thought I was going to throw up this book made me cry so hard. I was prepared, I thought, for the level of grief this book would make me feel. I even read a plot summary online before reading the book, to make sure I wasn't biting off more than I could chew. I was so fundamentally wrong. This book left me dry heaving from tears. I think it is a profoundly beautiful book, one of the best books I've ever read, and also the most painful book I've ever read either.
