The Drawback of Single Dads by Piper Rayne is book 4 in the Lake Starlight series and such a cute love story. If you love books about friends to lovers, single dads, single moms, small town, and second chance romance books then you will love this book.

Palmer is an author who is deaf she uses cochlear implants when she wants to communicate with the hearing community. Hudson is a ski instructor. They are best friends who slept together one drunken night and resulted in a beautiful daughter name Adley who is now 3 years old.  They have the best friendship which helps in them being the best coparents. Palmer moved back home to Lake Starlight after finding out she was pregnant so she could be closer to family and friends. Not wanting to let her raise their daughter alone or not wanting to be away from Adley,  he moved back to Lake Starlight with her into a house right next door.

This book was so good and I loved the relationship between them. Adley’s relationship with her parents is so cute. I love that we got to read Bea and Pete’s story being written in real time and tells how they met. I liked that Piper made her character deaf, how she had Hudson learn to sign so he could communicate with her, and how they were teaching Adley to sign as well.  I cannot wait to go back and read the other books in the series. I enjoyed their story so much. I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.
