Grog Monster by Melissa Blue

4.0

I totally love Melissa Blue. This was a super fast and fun read for me. Melissa Blue has a real way with characters, and I loved the sexy, flirtatious interaction between Tate and Peyton.

Peyton is owner of the local bar, The Grog Monster. A new handyman comes into town and fixes her pipes, and the situation is ripe for both sexual innuendo and...sex. Yum. Tate and Peyton hit it off right away, but the major conflict is that she hates being at the center of gossip in their small town of Tanner Creek. The town gossips won't let her forget the way her high school boyfriend dumped her years earlier, and Peyton is determined to avoid the rumor mill by keeping her new romance with Tate a secret.

I'll be honest, I live in a big city, so the whole "small town gossip" thing just seemed kind of ridiculous. Not because it was poorly written, but because it just sounds like hell on earth **to me.** I literally wanted to get her an apartment in the city so she could just get laid in peace. Lol. However, it's clear that Peyton's love of Tanner Creek is incredibly strong. It's her home and she loves being an important part of the vibrant community. Peyton has good friends, a loving family, and is a respected local business owner.

There's a totally great big romantic moment at the end and it left me grinning.

But yeah, I still think they should move to Los Angeles or something. Or at least take a couple of big vacations! If you're looking for a fun, sexy read, you'll enjoy Grog Monster.
