Eight Perfect Murders
by Peter Swanson
I have read 2 books by Peter Swanson that are some of my favorite thrillers. The other books that I have read have been nothing memorable. Eight Perfect Murders is a solidly entertaining thriller but it is not as good as some of his others. We follow Malcom who works in a mystery bookstore as he tries to figure out who is recreating the murders that he featured on his 8 Perfect Murder list. I loved the mentions of different classic mysteries and Malcoms pondering of the bookstore. The writing in this book is so readable that you fly through it. I think that because of the writing that also made for a negative. It seemed like a fluffy thriller, that as the reader you are reading after the fact. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it.
