Confined Desires by Katherine McIntyre

Absolutely devoured this one despite thinking I was only going to flick through a few pages and save for later. I blew off playing through a game, watching the Olympics, and had to reschedule a game session with a friend because I was so hooked.

My only complaint is that there was a fantasy of seeing the other character naked in the shower that was mentioned 2 or 3 times, and it never materialized in the pages.

The Chekhov's gun of romance is that if a character mentions a fantasy, they better be acting on it before the end.

Otherwise, it was a really fun pandemic book that neatly side-stepped COVID with the fictional TELA virus, while also perfectly encapsulating a trope of isolation with feelings.
