Pools of Darkness by James M. Ward, Anne K. Brown

3.0

SpoilerOh man, this book is even crappier than I remembered. I'm giving it three stars due to sheer nostalgia but boy was it hard to get through this one. First off, I found myself not caring at all about the new cast of characters that were included in this book, especially since most of them ended up dying off at various points. The prose seems like it's written by someone in middle school and the topics seem to jump all over the place while staying in the same paragraph. I would really only recommend this book for someone who does not mind less than stellar writing or absolutely adores high-fantasy to overlook it's various flaws.
