I love the concept of the book - it starts from the break up and demise of a relationship and then progresses backwards to the when the two characters first met. But I struggled to get attached to the characters, and it’s hard to root for them or feel the butterflies in those “aww” moments when you know their relationship is doomed. There’s some heavy themes that pop up throughout (TW: infidelity, mental illness, abuse) and that make this a more thoughtful read.
