i feel closely attached to the characters in this story so really wanted to see where it was going, just for funsies. I think this book is great for in between, for binge-reading and not over analyising too much. overall there are many common “mistakes” in the writing style that are common for new writers: repetitive observations of characters and descriptions, characters always talk about what other characters look like they feel or think which seems overly descriptive and interpretative (SHOW don’t TELL is not implemented well in this book), the plot is not very eventful given the number of pages the book has i adore mona kasten and wish her all the success in the world and while this book is not a lyrical genius i enjoyed reading it and will continue the rest of the series. reading this book, the influence of popular german romance books in translation becomes very apparent especially in the writing style (again, fun, but not very deep or though through, rather repetitive)
