DNF at 82%. i couldn’t take it anymore. i simply could not take it anymore. this book is so bad. it’s horrendous. everyone that said this book was bad was absolutely correct. the amount of miscommunication that could’ve been cut out of this would’ve shortened it by at least 150 pages, i swear. violet and xaden have a reiteration of the same exact argument every two chapters. it’s actually unbelievable, incomprehensible, unfathomable how bad this book is after the general enjoyment i experienced reading the first one. and the first one wasn’t even that good, but i gave rebecca yarros the benefit of the doubt because creating a fantasy world is a huge undertaking. now she has no excuse. she is a BAD writer. there is no plot other than violet always thinking she’s right and always being the victim. all her badassery from book one is GONE. she’s reduced to whatever she is in this book and i can’t stand it. i’ll probably try to read onyx storm at some point, but it will be FAR into the future because right now even thinking about this stupid fourth wing world has me fuming.
