I'm not a fan of the trope of humanity for a female character = parenthood and romantic love, although to be fair, it's really a parallel to Elfangor's similar plotline. (And I wasn't a fan of it for him either.) But it's interesting to see Visser One's history and her various drives warring with each other, and I appreciate getting to know Eva a little bit - she's such an important part of Marco's life and his motivations and we'd only ever seen her body as worn by Visser One.

And just, geez. Poor Marco. He keeps having to make these absolutely awful decisions.
