I liked the idea behind it. Traveling the country, talking to the folks who have slipped through the cracks, the junkies, the crazies, the old people hanging out in McDonalds. Their stories are worth telling. He just doesn't tell them. Instead he spends most of the book blabbing about his lame emotional journey.
