This book was interesting. I stopped reading YA awhile ago because some of the characters annoyed me, but I so badly wanted to be apart of my schools student-teacher book club!
I didn’t particularly love or hate this book. It was meh, to me. I felt that it was cliche in both the character types and the themes or issues presented in it. I didn’t particularly see myself in Mary. I think her epiphany came out of left field and I was a bit underwhelmed but I can see how some teens would really enjoy this book. It was definitely a coming of age novel!
