I was really intrigued about this book, and I can't believe it too me so long to pick it up.

Now all I want to do is learn about Greece during the 13th and 14th centuries, something I have very little knowledge of. I love when books make me want to learn more about the real history. A. L. Sowards Is one of those authors that does such a wonderful job but weaving the true facts into a captivating and adventure filled book.

I think I'll pick this up again sometime soon. It was a fun book to listen to. I really enjoyed the narrator as well. Being able to hear the correct pronunciation of the words was really nice for me. I think I would have butchered them. No I'm pretty sure I would.

I enjoy the tender care between the two main characters and I really loved their courage. No matter their reasons behind it, I loved the outcome. I also loved the archbishop. He was a pretty awesome character. And it was fun to hear that he was actually a real person.

If you like me have taken too long to pick this book up, pick it up as your next read. It really is a fantastic one.
