Very poor plot and clumsily done. It doesn't go into enough depth to really expose the horror of eugenics.

I was already aware of the ways in which sterilisation has been used against disabled people and other groups (and still is today in some cases) so I didn't learn anything new from this. It felt like a very basic understanding of eugenics and the ways it is still an undercurrent in a lot of politics today.

The people in power are cartoonish evil villains and the ending felt rushed but also anticlimactic and is way too unrealistic. Elena is a pretty idiotic main character and I often forgot she's supposed to be a smart science teacher because this is rarely shown in how she acts.
