Don’t get me wrong. I like a possessive, unhinged man in a dark romance when that’s the story like. But when it’s a normal romance and the man is so controlling and toxic I find it hard! It was well written, good story line. But Cam was so unbelievably controlling and Paige was such a pushover at 26 years old. It drove me crazy. I pushed to the end but Cam needs to sort himself out.
He says that her family treats her like a baby but omg he does the same!! His decision is the only one that matters.. Paige tries to say her opinion and he shuts it down with “this conversation is over” …. she literally gets told what to do by him all the time. Like I said. In a dark romance I’m all for the unhinged, toxic man but not in a normal romance book when it’s meant to be ‘real life’.
