Slow Burn by Jessica Prince
5.0

I have been waiting to get Leath’s story FOREVER! And I am not disappointed. We all knew he had demons in his past and that his coping mechanism was alcohol and women. Then he gets a BIG wakeup call in the form of a son from a ONS. I have to give Leath credit, he steps up fast. He does lean on his friends, but that is what they do. But eventually they force him to get a nanny.

Deva has her own demons in the form of an abusive cult family that took her in as a child. She escapes with the help of a mothery friend and gets the job of nanny. She is a strong heroine that I love! She might have been abused, but she never lets it keep her down. As she learns to adapt to a world that was so different then where she grew up, you can’t help loving her! And neither can Leath!

They had chemistry from the start. I loved that she stood up for herself and showed that she is a strong woman. Leath and Deva’s slow love began so beautifully. There was no rushing it, it formed soo slow that it felt real.
