Meik Wiking, CEO of the Happiness Research Institute, has finally written a book on the concept of hygge (pronounced hoo-ga).  It's a Danish concept, with roots sprawled out across Europe, focusing on the warmth and comfort within the feeling of safety and happiness.  But how can we accomplish this feeling of hygge?  Wiking analyzes responses from hygge-loving Danes, offering a couple of ideas on how to feel hygge: candles, friends and family, safety, being indoors, books, lamps, lighting, card games--the list goes on.

With lovely illustrations and graphics, this book exudes hygge itself, making it absolutely perfect for these coming wintry months.  I can't wait to fully enact this hygge advice in my current room, and hopefully later once I have my own apartment.  Just you all wait--I'm going to have so many candles, blankets, space heaters, curtains, lamps, and more, all thanks to Wiking here!
