“Love is love is love is love”
This book was fabulous!
The story covers some really important topics that are not often openly discussed, but that should be! There is LGBTQ+ representation as well as immigration and white privilege in this book.
I loved that the LGBTQ+ was not a vanilla representation. It was not “here are some characters who are gay but then we never really talk about their relationship again.” This book has a transgender character and a pansexual character and they play a huge part of the story. Their trials and tribulations and the emotions they feel are discussed in depth. I think books like these are pivotal in opening healthy conversations about important topics and in helping us become more understanding, more enlightened, more accepting and less judgmental of everyone.
The friendships in this book are stellar (pun intended). I adore the characters and enjoyed going on their journey with them.
I highly recommend this book.
