Very camp. Very Frieda McFadden in the dramatics and leading nature. Nothing happens in the first 3/4 of the book but then it picks up. This wasn’t very enjoyable to me. A lot of extra language and not a lot of events. A lot of alluding but twists that just didn’t hit (though, to the author’s credit, I didn’t guess them ahead of time). Not a bad read but I don’t recommend it since there are better ones out there.
