While I appreciate Newport's proposal, I think it could have been better organized. I would have preferred a greater discussion of the threats of constant distraction, as well as proposing strategies on how to cut back on digital consumption before just a blanket statement to do it. And the historical anecdotes, while slightly amusing, seemed more like filler.
