I was so confused the further I got into this book because the high ratings. It was basically unreadable. I can deal with bad writing but this book made me fully cringe repeatedly. The book made no sense within itself. The main character was smart and then extremely not. She was an extremely obtuse person. It was maddening how she knew nothing going on around her, but the reader did.
I don’t write reviews often but I had to warn people. The MMCs were dull and boring. The plot was muddled. The FMC was frustrating. The language was so strange in the fact that it was TikTok language. The mythology was inaccurate at best. The timeline was confusing. Finally, it was boring on top of it all.
