Crown of Chaos by Amelia Hutchins
5.0

Well it has been a year since we last visited the Nine Realms and as soon as I started reading Crown of Chaos it was like I’d never left. I don’t know what it is about Amelia’s writing but I immediately felt pulled in and had the same feelings I did when I’d read the other three LOT9R books that just pulled me in and hooked me. I don’t know why a war ridden, dark witch & beast infested series is a comforting place for me to be but I’m not complaining. It felt like home and it felt right.

Immediately things stated going wrong. Our girl Aria could not catch a break throughout this book, much like this series as a whole. But as always she’s strong, holds her head up high and the betrayal makes her stronger than she was before.

This book was everything. So many questions from Ruins were answered but then we were left with SO MANY more! We see a complete different side to Knox than we ever have before and idk if I have some ptsd from the first three books but I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop idk if
I trust it yet.

Yes, we finally find out who/what Knox and Aria are. We see a different side to their romantic relationship, so there’s some resolution there. I’m interested to see where this goes in Queen of Chaos. Still hoping Knox and Aria are endgame and if that’s the case, I cannot wait to see the power couple they will become.

Screw the elemental future walk in this book, nope. Man, I really like those future walks and trying to interpret them but oh my gosh this one was the absolute worst of all three elemental looks so far. Hated it with a vengeance.
