This is delightfully creepy in all the right ways. Although I wasn’t previously aware King was capable of crafting short stories while also staying true to his style, he’s definitely done it here. The book is also dated, but in delightful ways. Long distance calling, for example. My only complaint is some of the language feels fake. I mean go ahead and swear, instead of trying to soften the crassness of such language. That just feels smarmy, especially coming from characters who are willing to commit murder. 4/5 stars.
