Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks

4.0

So this is a rather unusual and quirky read, based on Hawks’ real adventures round Ireland, with said fridge (apparently named Saiorse Malloy, which can be both male and female as he wasn’t able to distinguish the sex due to a lack of donkeys - if you have to ask, you’ll need to read it!) following a bet with his friend. You follow Hawks as he mostly wings it; meeting good, honest people across Ireland (including the poorest king in the world) and basking in their kindness and determination to help him on his way. I lose my way a bit towards the end, but I found it rather touching how attached he became towards Saiorse.
