TAHEREH IS DEFINITELY MY FAV AUTHOR.
ok, let me start with clarifying few things:
1- im NOT a fan of alice in wonderland
2- Im not keen in children's books
3- i don't like cliches
now, that being said, Tahereh is honestly a master of words, her talent is so obvious, she has her own unique voice. you could see her style clearly and its a Great one.
the book in one way or another is a changed/ slightly twisted retelling of Alice in wonderland, However, she looks nothing like the real alice.
the characters are amaaaazing, the writing style is obviously great, the way you read it as if someone is narrating the story, yet at the same time talking to you is just so amusing. her choice of words and phrases and explanations is beyond what i can put into perspective.
all that aside, the amount of work, and the amazingly imaginative world we were sent to is something astounding! i could not wrap my head around, how can someone imagine something this weird all the while not crossing the line, AND keeping the story coherent.
the book was so adorable, amazing, fun, very fast paced, and its one of those books that you just dont want to end.
what i also loved about this book is the new perspective tahereh made us think of. COLOR! where she indirectly made the darker the people, the darker the color, the better they are, in the world we were at ,at least, and how more beautiful and talented they are percieved, all the while, proving a point, that even if you got no color, you can still be something great. And THAT is what was slightly embeded in the crazy world i got out of. let's say, the take home message, after you've enjoyed the craze.
If you're like me, and dislike what i mentioned above, OR if you like it anyways, go ahead and read the book, i know you won't regret it.
