I really liked the art style of this graphic novel, and the characters were all great - though there were times when it was a bit difficult to tell some of them apart (Alma & Ell especially). I think for me I was hoping for a bit more worldbuilding than we got, especially for a lengthy work. You're dropped into this world and rather than learning things along the way, you're just hit with more and more unexplained details. This is definitely more of a character study than a speculative work, so I think my expectations were just misplaced. For what it is, it's great. Just not exactly what I was looking for (or at least not enough of it - the main story definitely works).
